Why should you have to pay the extra money b/c some dip sh*t feels he earned it doing a joke job that anyone can do which should merit minimum wage. Instead I have to give him/her 15-20 bucks per meal for a job that any momo can do. If you only make 3 bucks an hour take that up with your manager or find a new job.

i wouldnt even tip a hot girl extra money...fuu that.I use to not want to rip ppl off but when you take a step back and look at it, it makes zero sense. You have nothing that makes you stand out and be qualified for the job so why should you be making extra money doing it? Nobody has their degree in serving and waiting tables so the most you should expect to make is minimum wage.

lol at the whole $3/hour argument. If a waiter doesn't make at least minimum wage based on pay + tips then the business is required by law to make up the difference, so worst case scenario they make minimum wage, which isn't so bad for carrying food to tables a few times an hour. I hate when the restaurant is busy and i end up tipping $10-$20 dollars, knowing everyone else is doing the same, brb menial labor just earned this high school drop out over $100/hour.

I very rarely tip
I dont tip my mechanic, bank teller, the guy making my coffee at starbucks.
I dont get tipped at my job, which is a whole hell a lot more important than a food server (helo mechanic).
and the "they get 3$ an hour" argument is bull****. we dont tip other minimum wage workers.
Tipping is our culture, its not done in other places in the world.I am currently prepping for a Bodybuilding show, follow my journey :

Next time you're out, make a mental note of the service you receive in a restaurant vs. fast food.
IMO, fast food places (where nobody tips/not even expected/work is harder/they make less money) have better service. While in most restaurants where the tip is EXPECTED I usually get worse service. Infact theres such a noticeable change, that I tip for ADEQUATE service, let alone 'good' service.Misc Strength Crew

If all restaurants were buffets i'd happily serve myself, unfortunately most won't let me walk back into the kitchen, order my food, and then go get it when it's ready. Give me the option to serve myself and i won't need them, but until then they're nothing but a necessary evil and i only tip them so they don't get angry and spit in my food the next time i go back.

because if people stop tipping then the restaurants are going to have to pay their servers more which means theyll raise the price of food which means that youll just end up paying the same price anyways.
At the end of the day, if I have an awesome waiter/server. I have no problem leaving them a 30% tip. Leaving someone $20 after a meal is really no big deal, and I know they would(hopefully) appreciate it.Negs to anyone that:

Uh no, its their job to serve you. Did you tip your cable guy? Did you tip your starbucks guys? How about your mechanic for your last oil change?
they all "served" you.
totally agree.
again. tipping is just cultural. Ive been to many other countries and they do not tip, yet give better service than in the USA.I am currently prepping for a Bodybuilding show, follow my journey :

lol at this being your response again, please keep handing your money away for free so you can call yourself "classy". And strong making fun of ppl for minimum wage...maybe you should tip me to considering I only make 8 bucks an hour? Otherwise that would just be unclassy. Keep failing please...your providing much lulz to my thread.

This, its absolutely disguting actually. BRB expecting you to give me extra money so not giving a **** about you. Tipping is supposed to be for when you get service that was above and beyond your expectations. Now I seem amazed if I go out to eat and my drink doesn't sit empty and the people are not complete *******s.

LOL I love how you simpletons respond only when you have a rebuttal to the smallest comments. I went overboard with that particular statement and you noticed it, yeah, you're a genius
Tipping is about showing gratuity to people that perform simple tasks that make your life just a little more enjoyable. But like I said before, can't really expect people with no money to be accustomed to tipping lulz

From being a server I ALWAYS tip according to the service I get. If they're really good I tip atleast 20%. If they're really bad sometimes I don't leave anything.
As for take out orders I never tip. Why would they deserve extra money for carrying my meal from the kitchen to me? No service or work involved in that
