    Question Need breakfast options!

I'm not sure what my options are for breakfast. I am lactose intolerant. I also have allergies to eggs. Other than oatmeal, I would like suggestion for great breakfast ideas.

My son is lactose intolerant so here are some of the things I make:
    - Lunch/dinner meals for breakfast
    - Ezekial grain toast with peanut butter and sometimes jam (you can use sugar-free if you want)
    - Oatmeal with 1/4 cup pumpkin and nuts
    - French toast with egg replacer if you need
    - Buckwheat pancakes (use 2.25 cup soy milk + 1 tsp apple cider vinegar to make buttermilk)

Wow that's a lot of restrictions. Perhaps looking at some gluten-free vegan recipes and then adding in whatever meat you want?

    MissFitness,

You can jazz up that oatmeal a little bit:

1 - Put 1 serving in a bowl and heat in the microwave for 1 and 1/2 minutes or until "wicked hot" as we say here in Boston.
2 - Stir in 1 tbsp peanut butter.
3 - Add a small handful of blueberries (or berries of choice...raisins will also work).
4 - As an option, drizzle a small amount of honey over the top.

or how about modifying the following recipe into a shake:

1 frozen banana, cut into pieces before freezing
2 tbsp skim milk (or your favorite milk substitute)
½ scoop (16 g) vanilla whey protein powder

^^ Some good suggestions! You could also try things like a tofu scramble, for example...

Agree with sonti on the non-breakfast foods for breakfast. A cold pork chop with honey mustard and half a grapefruit is awesome in the morning - my favorite of late is hamburgers with ketchup, tomatoes and greens on top.

You're food issues sound like mine (except for the eggs). Some other favorites:

Bowl of chopped apples mixed with a dollop of pb, lactose-free whey, canned pumpkin and raisins or dates

Giant green smoothie with some lactose-free whey mixed in

Sweet potato smoothie (sweet potato, an orange, lactose-free whey if you want and some goat yogurt if you can tolerate it, and pumpkin pie spice)

Ochazuke - rice topped with spicy canned salmon, green tea poured all over - I like to cook spinach into my rice too

Taco filling wrapped in cabbage leaves (love this in the morning)
