It's a personal choice that adults should be able to make for themselves. BD's point was that we don't "need" a lot things, but we should be able to make the choice for ourselves if it doesn't harm others.

This is beyond stupid, and as stupid you might think some of the laws are.. They are there for a reason. Or else, why doesn't every single country just legalize everything? ****ing nutjobs, lol
Yep. Oral sex between a husband and wife in the privacy of their own bedroom was illegal in 19 states before it was struck down. We should never have struck it down, since obviously it was illegal for a reason. Same with alcohol prohibition. We should have kept fighting it, since obviously it was made illegal for a reason.

Just the other day I heard on Christian talk radio that Christians need to vote for politicians that will legislate their values. Maybe that could be the reason why gays are illegal, and why life begins before conception, since the bible said "before you were conceived, I knew you.". The Catholic Church says condoms are bad, for a reason, so we should not go against it. They have a reason after all.

My points if you wont get any doctor allowing you to do this. Its your choice to kill yourself anytime you want, no doctor will help you with this. You could use them now and you wont go to prison for it. Steroids are not a high priority for drug problem, its drugs that cause violence that are connected to illegal activity.

Of course now they support it.
The FDA and CDC are hand picked by the president, or at least the president picks their leaders, who pick the rest of them. Just 50% of the senate is needed to approve the presidential appointees.

LOL!!!! The FDA backs things and then new research is published and they retract their stance. Then, even newer research is published and they post their orginal stance. Should I eat an egg or not? NO. Yes! No! Yes! Should I eat an egg without the yolk? How about Egg Beaters?? How about pasturized Egg whites...I just don't know what to do if the governement doesn't tell me exactly what is good or bad for me!!!!

This is true. Even simple possession. The courts have "buyer" and "seller" amounts for other drugs, but not for steroids. Any amount and they accuse you of selling.

OK, we can also outlaw Propecia for hair loss and laser hair removal, because there is a small risk of side effects with those, and we can't let anyone take risks to look better. It would not be fair to those of us who don't like taking risks and don't want to compete with those who successful improve themselves.

Can you show me some evidence that proves a causal relationship between drugs and violence?

What evidence do you have of this? Why would everyone use them? People are aware of the possible side-effects. In some sports it's even detrimental to be that big.(I'm assuming you're referring to sports players when saying everyone)
Naw, not just sports players, I think for the most part their usage would be rampant. I wouldn't say everyone, but I would have to guess around right around 50% of society would use them in their lifetime on a regular basis and about close to 90% of everyone would have at least tried them once if they were legal. Those are rough estimates and their accuracy can be disputed but I don't need to provide evidence to say their usage would drastically go up, you can logically deduce that. Why would you not use steroids if they were legal? You get a nicer body, better athletic performance, your body feels stronger and better and there's no legal repercussion at all. Of course people are going to use them. If you don't think their usage would be so prevalent then tell me how or why someone would go their entire life without using them? I think that needs more proving than why someone would use them.

You would agree their usage would go up substantially correct? Do you realize how many mechanisms of actions you're manipulating inside of your body by adjusting your hormone levels? That is, what is actually going on inside of your body. Especially at young ages and you know there will be young kids that won't resist the temptation regardless of the stories. It would be ludicrous to let drugs like that float around in society unchecked. I mean, if you're going to allow people to manipulate something as important as their own hormone levels you might as well just make any drug legal. We might as well just eliminate the concept of pharmacies and prescriptions altogether and make everything over the counter. Why not?

Unless you are in a professional sport or tested competitions, you would not have testing for these substances. A general user will have high levels in his system, but I have yet to see a court case where a judge ordered a hormone test based on lack of evidence. Either the indvidual was caught in the act of purchasing steriods, or ordering them online and having them shipped through the USPS which is a Felony. Concrete Evidence must be provided that shows why we would reasonably believe that an indvidual is a user before the courts would require testing. Recently, the courts have been most interested in busting distributors and questioning buyers with the intent of getting substantial testmony to "CONVICT" the distributor.

Okay, I don't see how you've proved a causal relationship, but I'll go along with your argument.

Drugs are highly profitable because they are illegal.

If they weren't highly profitable, why would violent gangs be connected with them?
I've been cold at the podium since break-dancing on linoleum.

you could get chest implants as a guy also, with doctor prescription, being trapped in the wrong body is torture and is a hard process to get doctor to help you with it anyways. A guy wanting to get jacked quick wanting to take lots of test makes no sense.

LOL! True. I guess a Medical Doctor believed that implants and estorgen supplements were the only way to cure the mental instability of a woman trapped in a mans body. LOL! These things are done not so much for physical treatment, but MENTAL treatment.

Maybe I feel like a giant trapped in a skinny guy's body, and I need Testosterone treatment for the sake of my mental well being. This is all an aside to the point that it should not be illegal because it is a persons individual choice if they so choose.

Sry bud, your wrong. My bf is facing ten years in federal prison for using steroids without a prescription. He will be sentenced in March. Do your homework. Doctors will prescribe test. It's ****ing expensive but they do. Also, rejuvenation centers are a good legit route to go. Let me tell ya the last four years have not been worth it. Pay extra!

No what would be torture is for a man to have his Penis removed and to have a vagina created... What the F????? Or for a woman to take testosterone supplements to enlarge the clit until it resembles a small penis and then have implants to simulate testicals implanted where her vagina used to be before being closed. Not to mention the test. supplements so that she could grow facial and body hair and disguise her feminity. I saw it on TV...You cannot even compare stuff like this to steriod use. Muscles are not the extreme transformation that you are insinuating....

Newsflash, the majority of that violence is caused because drugs are illegal....the drug trade. Read up on the Prohibition era. Organized crime escalates because they have a prodigious market for a lucrative product.
