Dr. Colker is truly unique in that he has managed to couple his experience as champion competitive bodybuilder and powerlifter with the highest level of academic credentials and education. He is a prolific writer with vast readership and a host of feature articles and books to his credit. But most importantly, he just loves the iron!

What a crock of *-@#
The whole shallow misguided put down on PL
Sounds like a lousy novie PL that never explored the whole spectrum of the sport.
The way things are written and the way the author portray himself as
the nice spineless 'YESMAN' to the slander of a lousy PL that had the lifting form and the know how of a molded canoly when he lifted in Israel (hence 'I don't want to get into pissing contest, BUT...and here goes the slander)
I will not take advice from him or his likes about buying pack of Gum , much
less in re to nutrtion and training, had you seen him "lifting" as far as for much less (much much less...) the weight you'll understand
295lb. squat
275lb Bench and 402 deadlift
women PL at 114lb. class can outlift his 'nice squat, decent bench and great deadlift'
on a regional level in the states

Dr Who??
Carlon Colker sounds like your typical "guru" to be certain. His medical background would give him little if any foundation to be an expert in the exercise sciences. His "competitive" background is equally suspect. I couldn't find any valid bodybuilding results in regards to his four or five local and regional level contests he claims he did. His powerlifting numbers must be equally uninspiring if he isn't even willing to list them. A true competitor would list the numbers, the federation they were attained in and what sort of gear was being worn, if any, while achieving these lifts.
His insinuation that powerlifters are all beat up, all look terrible, ect. is absolutely assine and comes from someone who sounds like they have "small man" inferiority issues going on. His top size of 240lbs at 5'9 with the underlying innuendo that he was a fat slob doesn't exactly make one think he knows how to get big and ripped either. Yet he writes a "guide" book like Extreme Muscle Enhancement and expects people to buy it.
It gets old when "experts" name drop telling everyone they've worked with Olympic level athletes, pro athletes, and on and on, yet they won't name specific names and on top of that they themselves don't look like they ever have done an athletic thing ever in their lives and to on top of that their actually accredited efforts in athletic endeavors are few and far between if verifiable at all.
Perhaps Dr. Colker should take a further leave from this field, intellectually pursue some actual exercise science based material which would include information on how to manipulate diets for real performance based results, try to become an athlete himself, and then maybe he could come back and tell us how it's done.
Alas, this won't happen and the igornant masses will simply have to figure out that Dr. Colker is another fly-by-night nobody. Rubbing elbows with someone who knows someone so that you can be "working" with a media whore like "Shaq" isn't exactly supporting any claims you know anything about nothing.
