used to be heavily influenced and submerged in '90s hip hop, brb listen to 2pac, big l, biggie, big pun, krs1, rakim, nas, and countless other talented rappers all day for like 6 years...then i realised wtf is the point of this..most of it is negative and about problems..i slowly made myself into drill music sub genre of hip hop and let me tell you..todays rap music is way better than past eras. todays music gives you motivation to grind and make something of yourself, fuk listening to another rappers problems...the more you listen to modern or ignorant rap the more you will start to like it... for e.g

Yeah cause Hotline Bling is so good along with everyone just imitating Drake and Weezy now. I loove to be motivated by a guy talking (not even singing or rapping) about his gold, cash, and crew... Rap is in a lull right now.

This. Maybe there's still good rap out there somewhere, but most people think fukking Drake and Ray Strummerd and A$AP (insert ******* name here) are good rappers. And it makes me avoid the whole scene.
