Yes and no. I mean, it takes a lot of balls to do it because of that. I wouldn't feel comfortable in such a strongly female dominant field. But, if someone is alpha enough and doesn't give a ****, then no. Plus, you work with tons of hot chicks all day.

Working two on two off right now. Worked this Sunday, off until thursday, off again until saturday - tuesday. 66k right out of school with a billion chances to move up, OT, grad school. Easy life right now. I never got the concept of wiping asses unmanly. If it's your 100 lb grandmother in there with heart problems, would you care if I'm a man/woman when her life's on the line? In the ICU, when we turn bigger patients to wipe their asses, we have to titrate their pressors so their heart doesn't stop. Would you care then?

Nah my gf and both my sisters are nurses…. Oh wait. Lol.
But nurses here make 80k+ / year to start so it’s a good job. I think it’s unmanly but I’ve met a lot of murses going to partys with my gf and they are mostly pretty normal/nice guys.
Edit: Problem is you cap out very fast, and no where to go after that.

Taking care of other people is traditionally the woman's job and so yes it is percieved as unmanly (not to say it's not a good job for anyone to do. Infact good nurses are so very important).
Doctors diagnose, make decisions and are in charge of the treatment process (i.e. use their brain), which is traditionally a manly job.
There's no way around this, it has nothing to do with salary or how 'good' the job is. It's just the traditional roles of men and women. Although times are changing innit. Do whatever you want, haters gon' hate.

Yes, become a doctor if you're a real man. That being said, I'll need nurses.

And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time." -- T.S. Eliot.
