    Peanut Butter vs Almond Butter

I bought almond butter for my muscle gain nutrition diet, but I was told today that peanut butter is healthier!?? Which is better for muscle gain? What about for weight loss?

What do you mean healthier? Also, are you comparing natural butters that ony contain either almonds or peanuts? They will have slightly different macro profiles.

I don't think I've ever heard penut butter is healthier than almond butter. Almonds are a great source of EFAs, as are peanuts. As far as muscle gain is concerned, I don't think it's something to worry about you'll benefit either way you go.

Just for fun, here's a study on almonds:

There are no foods "better" or "worse" at losing fat/gaining muscle. The governing factor is calories in vs. calories out.

Healthier depends on what you're looking for. Technically almond butter is healthier. It has more Vitamin E, Iron, Calcium, and more monosaturated fats and less saturated fats.

But natural of both almond or peanut butter are both good for you, depending on the diet.

Both are healthy, makes no difference.

No such thing as food for muscle gain or food for weight loss.

Wow, thank you everyone for your feedback

It is helpful to know that almond butter has more Iron, since I have an iron deficiency.
