What's better than Caffeine pills for Energy?

I need something to counter lack of sleep and not a PWO,
I find 200 mg Caffeine pills working well enough,
    Anyone find something better?

If you're looking for something that isn't straight caffeine or another common alternative like taurine, you should look at N-Methyltyramine. I would not call it a stand-alone energy supplement but when paired when a mild dose of caffeine it drastically improves focus and alertness.

Sleeping is generally a great way to combat a lack of sleep.

Focus XT helps me out a ton when I'm little on sleep. The Tyrosine content is partly responsible for that.

Not sure how your diet is but eating a clean diet with minimal processed or "packaged" stuff will definitely increase your overall energy. I find I am rarely tired when my diet is spot on and know for certain that people I know eat poorly are tired quite constantly

Dude I'm allergic to gluten, so my diet is mostly Brown Rice! Brown rice and eggs for breakfast, brown rice and chicken breasts for rice, a salad or two, then brown rice and steak for dinner!

Cut back on your brown rice in one or two of your meals and add fruit (frozen blueberries and cherries are awesome) to your diet somewhere, and some fish too.

Brown rice has very little vitamin/mineral/AO content. Fruit is very good for you. Don't listen to the anti-fructose/sugar people. I mentioned frozen fruit because it keeps longer and is just as good as fresh, though fresh is fine of course if you eat it before it goes bad.

Brown rice also has been found to have higher levels of arsenic that can build up in your body over time. I doubt having 'some' everyday will harm you, but having it exclusively is probably not the best idea.

I eat organic brown rice, I hope there's less arsenic there. Where does brown rice get its arsenic from?

B vitamins, esp. B12, are good for that. Look into a B complex supplement.

You could try something with dicaffeine malate. Much smoother energy and no crash really, even for more sensitive users

No it doesn't compare to caffeine, you asked for an alternative energy source. You just need to get more sleep.

Its very good-especially a 1g and has no crash .
I hate to c&p but this is a good description from our site:
Glucuronolactone caps can be used by people needing improved energy, mental alertness, and cognitive function for school, work, or other aspects of daily life. It can be used by athletes or weight trainers prior to working out or events. Glucuronolactone caps can be used daily or as needed.

Glucuronolactone is a natural metabolite of glucose and helps regulate the formation of glycogen. Since it helps protect glycogen stores and their syntheses, it is considered an ergogenic aid that can help with athletic & exercise performance and recovery. It also may help remove metabolites that could potentially be hepatotoxic (liver damaging).

Glucuronolactone is commonly seen included in many store bought energy drinks. It is also contained in many ergogenic aids, and pre-workout supplements. Serious Nutrition Solutions Glucuronolactone caps allow for versatile dosing and can be used anytime for cents per capsule versus a couple of bucks for an energy drink (many of which only contain trivial amounts to begin with).

Don't glucose metabolites cause a dependence? I mean have u been taking it for a while and then stop and find yourself feeling like u really need it?

I have found that stacking a Vitamin B Complex Capsule with a Caffeine Tab or Tabs has helped me a bit.

I think Im just giving you my personal preference. I feel better on 300mg at the gym than 400. I would try 300 before double dosing.
