Crossfit is just another way of getting your strength and conditioning up. Nothing more, nothing less. All you idiots who think fitness = just weights are idiots. Guys on the other side of the coin need to chill, too. Crossfit is NOT the only way to get in tremendous shape, but as long as it gets people moving I don't see the problem. I don't think it's for me, as I have my own ways of getting in shape. Today I have powercleans, deadlifts, GHR and sprints on. The other week I ran 4x400m sprints after squats at a decent pace. I almost shat myself on that last 100m stretch.
Friendship b/w women:
A woman doesn't come home one night. The next day she tells her husband she slept over at a girlfriend's place. Her husband calls 10 of her best friends. None know anything about it.
Friendship b/w men:
A man doesn't come home one night. The next day he tells his wife he slept over at a friend's place. His wife calls 10 of the husband's best friends. 8 of them confirm he slept over, the other 2 claim he's still there.

lol crossfit
just awared myself
another ****gy time amalgamation of common sense principles, sprinkled with elements of moderation high rep exercise to entice the 150lbs ****s who want a simple accomplishment. Ultimate example of being okay at many things but good at nothing.
I actually entertained the conversation of one of these ****heads once upon a time
"335lbs? Thats pretty big brah."
"Thankyou, do u lift? (lulz)"
"Kinda brah, I do [insert crossfit clone]. I think you would struggle running a mile in four minutes like we do"
"And I think you would struggle benching 225lbs so it appears we are at a stalemate"
I am good at lifting heavy ass weight and being very swole. They are competent at doing **** for extended periods of time. I cant run a mile in four minutes because I have never intended to run a mile in under four minutes.@markokaforfitness

The Army is now utilizing crossfit in many of their PT programs. My personal belief is that it is being incorporated to help all the incredibly fat **** soldiers lose weight. Which crossfit does wonders with! Though, I can see crossfit being beneficial to combat arms soldiers, because in combat **** is so random, and it is very fast, intense, and sometimes can last a long long time. The endurance and conditioning portion of crossfit can certainely help soldiers do better and possibly survive on the battlefield.
I personally mix HIIT as I call it, instead of crossfit, with my weightlifting routine. But that is because I want to be stronger and also stay in excellent shape, due to my physically demanding job. Crossfit, or HIIT, or whatever anyone wants to call it, seems to be working very well for me.
PS: The bodies on some of these crossfit chicks are, in my opinion, perfect in how a female should look! Athletic, powerful, and still feminine.SGT(P) , US Army Infantry 2007- Present

ok so i have been trying not to make a post and get sucked into this BS. But, crossfit is some hard core stuff. It is different then bodybuilding, but not better or worse. Bodybuilding is about looks, about getting muscular, cut, and symmetric, so all workouts are tailored to that. Crossfit is about over all functional fitness. Bodybuilding people in general have a low strength to weight ratio but look like how they want to look. Crossfit people have some of the best physical strength and abilities for there weight. If you want to look fancy and muscular bodybuilding is the way to go, if you want plain brute strength then go for power lifting or Olympic weight lifting, if you want all over general high level functional fitness then go for crossfit. And just a thought crossfit style of work outs originated from the type of training required by and used for special forces personnel. SEALs, US Army SF, Rangers, Force Recon, MARSC, pretty much all the baddest people out there that are regarded as being some of the highest athletically trained people in the world, they created and use crossfit type training. No one style is better then another, just different stuff used for different outcomes. And most of these crossfit girls are freakn sexy as hell, and 90% of the guys posting here would kill for the chance whether they admit it or not. The other 10% are either gay or to in love with there own muscled reflection in the mirror to care about anything else.

it's a good program for someone with years of solid compound lifting.
i see way too many couch potatoes suddenly getting possessed by the crossfit ghost and proclaiming its all mighty greatness and eating/living/breathing crossfit.
it's the community elitism i hate, but the exercises, if taught properly, are all top notch stufff.
