Depends what league you watch, Spanish and Italian leagues for example are full of diving whimps, the English / German leagues are not as bad.

The reason why the highlight real shows misses is because of the skill level involved, any time a goal goes in or close to in is a nail biting moment for both teams.

I think Americans hate Soccer so much because its an intelligent skill based game which they are naturally bad at.

Whilst the beautiful game is called the beautiful game for a reason, you do know that nfl is one of the most complex and strategically refined sports there is. I am still trying to keep abreast with the many different formations and plays.

On top of that they have to revise hundreds of different plays to meet any situation on the field.
