    stronglifts 5x5

I have been on the stronglifts.com 5X5 on and off for a about 15 months, and have been doing it properly for the past 5 months. I have been struggling with adding weight to ALL of my lifts and have reset squats 3 times, most recently incorporating box squats.

My question is, should I drop to 3x5, continue 5x5 but ramp weight a la Ripptoe or switch to madcow/531?

Sidenote, I have posted here before but improperly described myself as doing SS, which resulted in YNDTP posts. I'm not ignoring your adivce, I just wanted to make sure I am getting the right answer to the right question.

    Thanks

Change your routine up a little as in reps and exercises. Doing 5x5 ALL the time will casue you to plateau maybe try and do a few rep records for a couple of weeks. Gain some weight, and if you want add a bit of volume, if your a novice lifter try power building routines. This worked for me lol. And I am not saying the routine you are on is bad AT ALL! Just saying change it up for a bit.

If you're stalling on a program like Stronglifts or SS, the first question is always how is your diet/rest/recovery? And are you gaining bodyweight?
150 is somewhat light, you might just need to eat more to continue making strength gains.

If all that stuff is in check, I believe the new Stronglifts party line is that once you stall several times, you knock the sets/reps down to 3x5, which is basically like SS. After you stall on 3x5, you move on to an intermediate program like Texas Method or Madcow.

My diet is okay, I get enough and Kcals and protien but the recovery/rest is iffy, I stretch a couple of times a day, but getting more than 7-8 hrs of sleep is hard. As far as my weight goes, I am at 13ish % bf, and while I want to get stronger, I really want to try to keep that number in check.

Your 5'7" and 150lbs, that is light as ****. I have 35lbs on you at the same height and am probably around 16%BF. You need to put on weight if you are serious about getting serious gains at your height.
