    Squat form check

    A few weeks ago I was lifting, inbetween sets spotting a friend on a leg day. Didn't think much of it, but to take some of the weight off my quads i was leaning forward a bit too much. My back was wicked sore after that workout, and then (unrelated) I got pretty sick (thought i had the flu). So i never really completely recovered from the bad workout which ended in a (minor) lower back strain. So now that ive been taking care of it, its almost back to normal and I want to make sure my squat form is PERFECT before going back so this never happens again. I was stupid and didn't want to take the pain like a man in my legs, so "pussed" out of the lift by leaning a bit.. putting strain on my back.

    Tell me how this looks. Just recorded this at home while I take my last workout in recovering my back from the strain.

    Weight is 115lb. I cant power clean much more and it isn't really safe to put on my shoulders like that, but i needed to make sure my form is good.



    I plan on being back up to par next week with at least doing my normal back workout and leg workout, even if the squats and deads arent back up to where they were.

    Definitely wont happen again though i learned from my mistakes.

    and i normally squat 155-175 for 8-12 reps

    I can't really see much since the camera cuts it off. Looks pretty good from where you filmed it. All I can say is, get a squat rack.

    Yeah i lift at my local gym but I've been staying @ home for the past two weeks on leg/back day to finish healing up.
