    Brahs how long do your quads hurt after squats

    I took a little break from squatting, and squatted 3 days ago, and my legs still hurt so can get up or walk without some bad pain. repss on rc for dem answers

    If I haven't squatted in a while and I go back, I usually push myself as hard as I usually word. This means my legs are pain for about three days. Last time I did that, I literally couldn't walk the day after so I skipped my classes for that day.

    My suggestion: if you're getting back into it, start off lighter.

    Did squats, front squats, lunges, hack squats and then Leg Press in that order on monday

    I am still sore as crap 3 days later



    I split up quads and hams in 2 different days. I might be hurt because of the lunges because I took a week off of them.

    once after a first leg workout post recovering form a twisted ankle, my quads were literally sore for a 10-14 days. it blew

    Couple days but not that bad anymore. Seem to have gotten used to it through volume.

    Usually do 5xSLDL, 4xFrontsquat, 8xsquat, 4xpowercleans, 12xcalfraises (machine) and 4xleg ext. drop sets to failure.

    Pain usually hits 18 hours after the workout, and lasts for about 2 days for me. If I skip squats for a week, it hurts for like 3-4 days afterwards.

    My quads don't really get soreness, it's usually my hips, hip flexors, and semi-membranosus (inner hamstring). If I do take an unusually long break from heavy squatting and get back, I definitely experience several days of quad soreness, though.

    Try foam rolling to help speed up recovery - it helps . A LOT.

    but then again, I do squats, leg curls, hack squats, leg extentions, calf raises all until failure.

    so I might be different.

    Eat more. I do them 3days/wk and they hurt until a few hours before I squat the next time. I doubt they ever fully repair because I'm biking on off days.

    They don't, get mad ham doms but no quad doms (I front squat though). However I do em every 3 days and I believe high frequency reduces DOMs.

    Ride a stationary bike or treadmill for 5 or 10 min just something to get warmed up with a little, then do some stretching. Probably will still be a little sore, but this should help.
