pleeeasse women, help me!
i'm totally going insane. i swear.
i don't know what to do, no matter how clean i eat, how much i work out, i never see good results on me. i do cardio every single day. i run 8 kilometers every day, i've been working for a year now.
i am at the "normal weight" range. i am 5'8 and i am 140, i used to be big when i was at my teen years (i'm 19 now) my body isn't firm as i would love it to be, i want to have a defined body without gaining muscle and i swear this is the only site that can offer pretty accurate advices. i've been into this page for months and i've been taking advices from all you guys (that you give to others) and taking them as my own and try what works best for me... but seriously i am confused. you say we can't spot reduce... so why you give advices about doing eadlifts and lunges... and tips for get a nice ass.. while others say that diet is what matters and protein. please somebody help me. i promise you guys i have a headache

Well it sounds like maybe you're just not hearing what you WANT to hear, so you're digging for more answers that really don't exist. Diet IS key. Lifting heavy IS key. Cardio is NOT necessarily key. You CAN'T spot reduce, but you can target exercises to work a certain muscle group. Losing fat off one body part is not the same as working the muscle group.
Chances are a)your diet is not where it should be, b)you're doing too much cardio, c)you're not lifting heavy enough, or d)a combo of the above...

"i want to have a defined body without gaining muscle "
Huh?? You do realize muscle is what makes a body defined right? I've seen MUCH better results from lifting heavy than anything else i've ever tried (just cardio, cardio and light weight high reps, workout videos, and diet pills).
Look at the body space pages of some of the girls on here who do lift heavy. Not all are huge body builders. A lot of them doing the NROLFW routine look FANTASTIC!! Nice toned bodies without over doing it.
NROLFW is lifting heavy and pushing yourself. It's NOT easy but works very well!

You look jelly becouse, you only did cardio and lost all muscle. Muscle = toned, faster metabolism.
Are you afraid to pick up a 7k kg dumbell? , but it's ok to carry heavy shopping.
lulz, You do realize it take alot, i mean ALOT of hard heavy weights to get big.
Don't be a idiot.
When i see women just do cardio in gyms, just makes me lol, becouse they end up looking the same(sloppy) but in a smaller frame 3 months later .

This^
Start a weight training program 3 x a week, Do it till you start seeing definition.... then you can ajust it to maintain that defined body.
Just remember when you start gaining alittle muscle, you will be able to eat a little more becouse youre metabolism will be faster.
I do both cardio and weights, and ill tell that when you lift, you're resting heartrate is still higher when just resting.

Models have long lanky structure and even fat distribution genetically, even if you lose weight, there is no guarantee that you'll look like a model.

Don't forget Isaa.
You will NEVER get a toned nice body, unless you start getting some lean muscle.

I also need help!!!
I completed the 90 day insanity workout and diet at the end of November. i lost 10lbs and 10 inches. All in all I was happy with that. i slacked a little at Christmas and got back down to things in Jan. I can't seem to get below 120lbs, and my pants are fitting the same. Which is ok. i just wondered why I work so hard to just maintain and cant get smaller. I do one of the insanity videos 5 times per week and I ride a stationary bike at work on my lunch for 45 min. I do the insanity ab video 2 times per week and in the winter i play hockey 1-3 times per week. i have still been doing the insanity diet. Which is 1300 to 1500 calories per day. Consisting of 5 300 cal meals. I don't think this matters but I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old. i want a 6 pack and I know my body fat has to be low for that. Everyone keeps telling me I will never get rid of that little bit of belly. Get use to it. I have eliminated the love handles and am getting the obliques but its the front middle I want to lose. Any help Please!!!!!!!

You need to get your metabolism restarted, by doing compound weights and building muscle to get rid of the belly fat.
More Muscle = Faster metabolism
This is what happends when too much cardio is done over a period of time. Body adapts, muscle loss = slowed metabilism = Plateu.

Weights will make you firmer. It's muscles that firm you. Not how much fat you lose

I just wanted to clear up the confusion for the bolded sentence above. You are right--no one can spot-REDUCE. (Namely, lose fat in a selected predefined area.) But you can spot-TRAIN. Put another way, you likely won't get a lovely tush from doing bicep curls. It blew my mind when I finally figured that one out.
And on a more global note, it's painful when I see young women about to enter adulthood who frame their self-descriptions so negatively. People will take advantage of your lack of confidence, especially if you want to pursue modeling. I would suggest some soul-searching and working on your self-esteem; it will serve you well in the long run.
