Start with diet, hate to say it, but that is the foundation. Talk to your doctor and see what kind of activity he will clear you for. At the very least, you could probably start out with some walking. Get your diet in line, get moving and take it from there.
It's not about how much iron you push, it's about how hard you push yourself! To rise above the mundane trappings of where I presently am to that mythical place that I aspire to be at. To break through old barriers and rise to new heights, that is my goal.

Check out the nutrition and losing fat subforums. Diet will be key here. Honestly, you're going to have to start small with your workouts. If you get your diet in check, weight will fall off, and will make walking/stairs/mild workouts easier. As you get to a more managable number, you'll be able to start doing more lifting and get on a better program.

Start with just getting your diet in check. No more fast food for the first week or two, no more junk food the next week etc etc. Diet can get you down 30 lbs to make starting to work out easier. I was way up in the lbs and i started with diet for the first month then started working out and its been great.
