Figured I'd add this thread to this section as many of you probably go to school & the gym just like I do... Has anyone been able to find something that could be used specifically for both?
My next semester at school is starting up and I will be heading to the gym in the mornings (on campus) and getting my classes done right after-- all in the same trip every day.. I figure I don't want to be carrying around a backpack AND a gym bag..
Links / Store names / ideas are all appreciated.. I will be needing to buy one very soon.
***Something not too large that can fit the following (conveniently):
-Dip / Weight belt
-Shoes
-Spare clothes / towel
-Shaker bottle / snack
-School binder
-Smaller things such as straps.. wrist wraps.. pens.. keys/wallet
Thanks!

That summs up all the things in my gym bag...Got pockets on the inside for powder and pencils ect...Just use a gym bag? lol
This one is roughly the same size as my bag(My bag is a large)...But you could probably cram in 2 pairs of shoes, gym clothes, a pair of jeans, belt, and everything else you mentioned.

just get over it and use two bags.. is it really that inconvenient? i guess everybody thinks differently, i just don't think it's THAT big of a deal.
personally, i think backpacks are the perfect thing for school (books, folders, notebooks all sit nicely organized and don't have room to get all jumbled up ripping/creasing pages, etc).
and i also think that duffel bags or drawstring backpacks are the best for gym (when organization doesn't matter as much).
i personally would never use a duffel bag and combine my stuff. especially if you are going to be storing your shoes in your 2-for-1 bag... if your gym shoes stink, the odor will either seep through the bag, or become potent every time you open your bag to get a notebook and/or book out.

I have to take public transportation to campus daily.. walk a lot daily.. and sometimes longboard to and from classes.. it is inconvenient for me to carry two bags..
That being said.. Some bags I've seen have special shoe compartments which is cool-- and mine don't stink haha so no worries there. Just need to find something that can hold everything conveniently and keep it organized and protected .

i just don't see how you would ever get all of that to fit in one bag, while not having the very costly school supplies to get ruined. you want to be able to sell those books back, and you want to be able to save those notebooks to look back on.. and in my mind, you would never be able to combine all of that into one bag and not keep the school stuff in nice condition. but, i guess that's just a pet peeve of mine also.. i keep all of my school stuff HIGHLY organized.. and practically in mint condition

This is why I made this thread lol. Maybe there is a bag with separate compartments for each aspect it's being used for?
Obviusly I can grab a trash bag and put everything into it... but that's why I asked for this specification.. thanks for your input though. I see where you're coming from. Hopefully I can find something that works.
