I wonder if the teams hire nutritionists and build their meals for them... that sounds like a lot of work though...
However... if I was an athlete making even the low level pay of an NFL player, I would have a full time nutritionist.... along with my maid, my pool boy, my dog walker, my personal bather, my masseuse, my mail order bride on the side... you know just the basics.
But a nutritionist for sure.

What is all this "they eat tons of food".....
Ya the lineman do look at em, obese as every other American.
But the skill players, DBs WRs and Linebackers don't eat and eat and eat...
The NFL is worse than the MLB, you just hear more about the MLB because they are making an attempt to crack down on illegal drug use.To live is Christ, to die is gain. -Phil. 1:21

You know, I often wondered how these guys get in such a shape too. I mean, maybe you could claim they just have the best training and diet programs in the world. But how often do you see these guys getting caught sniffing coke at some night club while they're drunk off their ass? I don't know if you can work that **** in your diets, but I somehow can't fit it in (on a regular basis).

consider that its their "job" to be in the best shape possible. If you had a full time team of nutritionists, strength and conditioning coaches, trainers etc wouldnt you be in amazing shape? They get paid a ton of money to be better, faster, and stronger. Genetics yes, but if you had the will power to get up at 5am and workout for 8 hours a day wouldnt you be in incredible shape as well? They have the desire to be proathletes while the rest of us stare at them and assume the worst.
By no means am i saying that a fair amount of them dont use steroids ...and in regards to them passing the tests, better technology yields better testing procedures and better ways around those tests as well.

yeah about 2 weeks before he came back from his suspension he posted a video on his site of him doing box jumps, tire flips, rope slams and push press for time and the guy training him had on a crossfit tee......it was funny the vid was talking about how much more "explosive" he was gonna be.

I think it was more the fact that it portrayed the NFL poorly not so much that it hit too close to home.. yes the NFL has problems with steroid use and criminal activity but not at all to the extent that this show made it seem.
The leagues star running back would go to the parking lot during half time to smoke crack cause it made him play better for god sakes!.. On the same team there was a gay man in a love triangle and numerous players cheating to get around piss tests.. it was way overblown.. but yes great show
