I drank, done drugs, and smoked and you know what? I hated every minute of it! I never enjoyed partying, i despised smoking but was addicted, and felt like a hop head loser with every drug that i did. It was NOT FUN 90% of the time.

I've tried it all and I know, We're not missing ANYTHING!

No disclaimer to the parties/drinkers/smokers because if you enjoy it - go for it! But please dont critisize those that dont...

Same. This last semester I went all out since it was last semester of college. Drank, partied, didn't give a ****...got a 3.8 with 20 units of the hardest undergrad econ classes. It helps to live life and take your mind of the grind.

The same can be said for the opposite. There is something wrong when someone flaunts that they DO drink/do drugs. It's annoying as fxck, and yes, nobody cares.


Anytime I hear someone start a story with "I was so fxcked up." "I was so drunk.", or anything else like that I immediately ignore them.


I'm not sure why people are so proud that they drink/do drugs. For one thing nobody cares, for another it doesn't make a person special, rebellious, a "rebel", or different... They are doing the same things that millions of other people do yet they somehow feel the need to inform everyone around them that they drink/party/do drugs and tell of their "exciting" experiences while partaking in these activities.

The average person who smokes/drinks/parties spends what, anywhere from $100-400 a week? I put all of my extra money into savings/investments/nice things, I drive a nicer vehicle, have nicer clothes/things, have better hobbies, etc.



I feel kind of bad for people when the highlight of their week happens to be getting drunk/going to a party on Friday/Saturday nights. Especially when they do the same thing every single weekend.

Looks like you've created the false dichotomy of having to be either straight edge or an alcoholic. But not everyone has such a lack of self control. There is a difference between substance use and substance abuse.
