    Another I finally DLed 5 plates thread

    I do mostly bodybuilding training but have done some strongman training (even though I'm not built for it I like doing it) and I like doing the powerlifting lifts. 8 years ago I weighed 135 lbs so I'm one of those kids. Here's the video of me deadlifting 495 lbs (5 plates obviously a goal as well as 500). The past couple months ive been working on deads pretty seriously and ive had a lot of free time during that period so that helps hah.

    I normally would even do strongman without a belt and my brother got me a nice lifting belt for a gift so the fact that I have been using it for the past month it has been an added bonus as opposed to just "I use it while I sleep"

    Very nice, man. You looked really excited after that, and for good reason. That's been my goal for a while...came close a few weeks ago, but couldn't lock it out. Here's to hoping I can catch up to this!

    Looks like you didn't fully lock out your knees. Sorry bro thats a no-lift.

    Just kidding, but it does look like you didn't and while you obviously have the strength to lock it out it could still get you some reds in a meet.

    Yea I do regret not holding onto it for a second longer. I've never actually competed in powerlifting quite yet so the guys are always telling me to sell it and lean back cause I have the tendency to just kinda keep the reps flowing or in this case (a one repper) just letting it down maybe a bit too fast. I'd like to hope if someone was actually standing in front of me with their hand up I would of been able to wait for the signal.
