    Overstudying for NASM exam- help

I have the book and am now deep into chapter 2, I memorize and draw pictures to help me and I think I might be overstudying.

My question would be do I need to know every bone in the body. And speaking on behalf of the entire book, is there any way to determine if one may be overstudying?

I have no experience in the gym or fitness world except that I am a triathlete but I want to learn and I fear my study habits may be to extreme, I dont want to study uneccesary information if this is possible.

    thanks

    Ben

Why are you studying the NASM exam if you have no experience in the fitness / gym world?

No, you don't need to know every bone in the body. Just the main ones which are used as levers for key movements.

Try to understand, rather than learn. For example, one of your disciplines is cycling.

    So:

What joints are being flexed and extended ?
    What muscles are used?
What bones are being used as the levers ?
What exercises would you use to develop or stretch those muscles.

    and so on
    because fitness isn't coincidence
