If you are eating, then I'd have a glass of red wine with your meal. Otherwise, something like whiskey, but watch the amount, booze hits you hard on keto. Drink plenty of water with it.

Maker's Mark, double, straight up, no ice. Maker's has a new whiskey that came out last year called "46". It's good.

I always did vodka in diet coke. Then lost the coke as the night went along :/ But Vodka has no carbs, so mixing it with diet coke will do the trick wthout adding any carbs.

But I don't drink much anymore, esp. while on keto. I never got hangovers until I went on keto. I'd have the dirtiest hangovers in the world the next morning. Just a little warning.

Hard alcohol, clear or brown. Your body is very sensitive to alcohol and stimulants when in keto due to your body not holding on to water very well in. Hard alcohol will get the job done sooner.

Vodka and coke? Really?! Vodka and coke is disgusting!!! At least to me, but hey, whatever floats your boat. I personally prefer rum with my coke.

If I know I am going to drink, I usually do when I am going to have a carb up and/or a cheat meal. Alcohol hits you HARD on keto (saving you a TON of money at a bar). If you drink diet soda with the alcohol, the aspartame only intensifies the alcohol but if you drink the regular soda, you are drinking a TON of sugar thus kicking you out of ketosis.

If you know you are going to drink, let yourself have some fun. Don't be overly concerned with your diet. Just drink and get back into keto right after.
