    Which type of bicep curls gave you the most gain?

    Was it just a regular bicep curl? Or something else? I'm looking for a good bicep workout that'll do work good with powerblocks.

    Heavy hammer curls with a little body english thrown in on occassion seem to do the trick for me. That followed by strict form preacher curls has been doing wonders for my arms these past few weeks.

    so until just looking at a youtube video i thought hammer curls were bicep curls. so hammer curls you keep wrists at different angles? i gotta try these next time. how are they better then normal dumbbell bicep curls?

    if you got access to one, the dedicated cable curl machines are by far the best bi exercise i've ever done.. the tension kept throughout is unmatched by any freeweight, by that i mean when a freeweight is at the top of the movement, bar or dumbell, its basically just being held up by your arms like a pole with no resistance pulling down besides you stabilising to keep it straight.. the cable machine at the top of the curl is still pulling on your arms.

    They aren't better. They work a different area. Hammer works the outside of the bicep.
