Anyone that has taken COM in college. Help? Reps?

I have no idea what they're asking me to do here.

Think about different experiences you have had with noise or interference in the communication process. What are examples of real-life interference that can occur in each of the four places in the basic communication model? Write one example of interference in the context, one example of interference in the sender, one example of interference in the receiver, and one example of interference in the channel. These examples can be from four different real-life communication situations, but those do need to be different from the examples in the textbook. Select one of these examples and indicate how you could reduce or eliminate the noise or interference.

Noise or interference are anything that makes your message hard to send or recieve (in a conversation). For example interference in the channel would be any outside noise like a laud room. And interference in the reciever would be anything that could be occupying the recievers mind that would distract the listener from what you (the sender) has to say.

So noise in the sender would also be thoughts in the head? Or maybe a moving object distracting the sender?

And noise in the context could be background noise, like someone using a lawn mower?

Yeah, also noise in the sender could be any emotional response. Like if a speaker was being heckled by someone in the audience he would be distracted and his anger would take over, which could screw up the way he sends the information. And I'm pretty sure noise in the context would be if the information that was sent was hard to understand. Basically an example of this would be if a speaker used words that he thought meant one thing but they actually meant something else. Noise in the channel would work with the lawn mower example.
