    white or red meat

    when bulking upp should i eat red meat or stay with the white meat like chicken and tuna?

    Both. As much as you possibly can. Though if you have to choose one for a bulk, go with red.

    white meat is basically just protein. red meat is fat and protein. it depends on how close you are to your macro goals. they're different kinds of food, and they are not really comparable like that.

    also, too much red meat=too much saturated fat=insulin resistance. you need to limit your saturated fat intake, but a little bit of red meat isn't bad. grass fed red meat is much better because the fat will be more monounsaturated than saturated.

    to summarize, both are great sources of protein, but the red meat also has fat. it is better to get your fat from things like nuts and olive oil, although a little red meat won't hurt.
