The Anabolic Diet. (17 year old natural bodybuilder in progress!)
Hey guys, I'm going to start logging my experience with the Anabolic Diet. I encourage you to subscribe. I will be posting exactly what I eat for every meal, every day, calculating macros, etc. I will also record my weight training from each day. I am extremely carb sensitive and I have noticed that when it comes down to getting sh*t done, the only way to go is the low carb way FOR ME. On Monday, I will begin the first 12 days of going into ketosis, then I will use the 5 days eating <25 g carbs, and then 36 hours carbing up cleanly. I will post pics when I get the chance.
Time to conquer the cliche "burn fat gain muscle"!
My starting statistics
Weight : 160 pounds
Height : 5 foot 8 inches
BF % - 11-13%
Bench : 315
Squat : 405

Day 1 down.
I tried low carbing it and could not complete my bench pressing. I was too fatigued. Was told that my glycogen levels were depleted and therefore I did not have the energy needed to lift heavy weights. Funny thing is that when I added carbs back in (day of training), I had tons of energy again.

i didn't count fat right, because whenever i go low carb, i get carried away with cheese which is a calorie bomb, so i just estimate about how many cals came from the excessive amounts of cheese i eat.

Today, I did not eat any carbs at all, I loaded up on fats and protein though. And way exceeded my caloric goal. Probably by about 1500 cals too. We'll see what happens.

This morning, I woke up, found out school was cancelled and went back to bed for another 5 hours. I am so ridiculously lethargic, and don't look ripped anymore! Please help, what should i do?

Energy levels are out the roof! Day 4 (Thursday) just was awesome! I have more energy than before and legitimately look cut to shreds, but I still weigh exactly the same

good word bro!!
Post your diet any time that you have extra time, thats the main thing I need ideas for or to consider how hard/costly it could be.
What do yours typically look like?

Typically, I eat about 6-7 meals a day. One of those is my post workout 2 scoops of whey. The other meals are alternating between 40-50 grams protein from eggs, beef, chicken, fish, some green veggies, like asparagus, broccolli, or spinach, and then some extra fat like butter or cheese or olive oil.

Yes, I sometimes can't help but overdo it on the cheese, but it doesn't seem to have negatives

This weekend was my first carb up, and i'll admit that on Sunday, i looked huge in a puffy "steroided muscle" type way, it was cool, but i am back to no carb again for the week.

The "Lonewolf"
This diet definitely has it's benefits and I am the exact same way as my body responds much better to higher fats rather than tons of carbs as high carb just makes me tired and sluggish...I'm actually starting back with the "anabolic diet" tomorrow myself
Keep up the good work...
