There was a thread last week about who inspires you. This is him. I wish I could take credit for his will, enthusiasm, and determination, but it comes from within. I think you can mold it, but not give it or teach it.. And you're right, I believe THIS is what will get him through life!
Thanks again for all the replys. I'm gonna let him read them later. He's out being a kid in the neighborhood right now.

Proud Papa Reps!!!!!
Awesome Video! Congrats to the little big man!!When you think of the long and gloomy history of man, you will find more hideous crimes have been committed in the name of obedience than have ever been committed in the name of rebellion. –C.P. Snow, Science and Government

That's outstanding, David. Not that it means anything, but Marius is pulling for him.
You're obviously doing a good job training him if he's squatting like that without hurting himself."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1
Also, taxation is theft.

I AM fortunate that we share this, and other interests. I started my 9th grade son lifting when he was in the 5th grade. He likes it, but I don't think he loves it as much as lil brother.
I also use his brother as an example when people "question" is it healthy. Devin is a 9th grader with 4 years of lifting, but lifts for football. He is 6'2" and weighs 250lbs. Squats 360, deads 350, and benches 260. SO MMUCH FOR STUNTING GROWTH!
By the way - Chandler told me yesterday he hoped his video would inspire other kids (especially bigger / overweight) to try it. Not so much to compete, but to know it is OK to lift and exercise...

Very solid and it's obvious he's got his Daddy's genes for strength. Noticed his right knee bending in when he squatted, though. No hate; just something I noticed when I saw the vid and then the picture with the caption that someone posted.
