    Going to the Gym Everyday?

    Im barely 14 and my Dad's been forcing to me to go to the gym everyday with him. I keep telling him its better to go every other day to get my mucles rest since I'm not that old. Am I rite or is there nothing wrong with going everyday that will stun my muscle growth? We do a routine that goes liek this ex. Monday- Arms-Tuesday- Chest and Wednesday back to Arms. Good or no Good?

    Yeah I tellem and he's tells me I'm working different parts everyday and nothing is wrong with giong everyday. But I think now were going on a 4 day split. Also I'm not really trying to be a teen bodybuilder but gain mass & strengh for the upcoming football season so thats why I'm not training legs. Plus I'm also on the jumpsoles program.

    Well as long as you're switching up between chest and arms you'll be fine. Your chest will be recovering when your arms are working and vice versa. So you won't overtrain.

    work legs, they release a lot of hormones and acids you need to build your upper body up as well. Working chest and arms back to back never give your tris a break and this limits your gains both in mass and strength. quality over quanity. you need to work shoulders and back too. id do chest, back, legs, shoulders, arms, each on their own day.right now my split doesnt even have its own arm day and im bigger than ever

    Yeah, if your 14 go every other day.
    It wasn't until about 2 months into working out, that I went every day, and I took the weekend off.

    But even then I wasn't doing full bodyworkouts every day.

    But what if OP wants to stay natural? Does this mean I'm not natural because I worked legs before? Will I test positive for steroids and/or creatine?

    It's ok if you hit different body parts every day and throw cardio days in there to give certain muscle groups a rest but don't do the same redundant routine.

    I didn't word it correctly, but when you work legs you produce more test and other anabolic hormones that aid in growth of upper body as well.

    Don't be ripping on his dad, you should be thankful he's actually getting you into the gym, a lot of parents including mine **** all over going to gym.

    That being said do tell him that you shouldn't be doing that and to try and involve more muscle groups
