Was over in Sydney for the weekend when the earthquake hit. I actually left thursday night and came back sunday night, earthquake hit saturday morning.

Its not too bad hey, but there is a growing number of government state houses near my area which attracts a lot of people from the lower socio-economic bracket (on dole, benefit etc)... quite a few burglaries going on nowadays :S

Im guna try to bro. A guy at my work is selling tickets for some of the Auck pool games. Some good ones like Ireland v Australia. Depending on how much he wants I might get some. He was guna give them to me for cost though.

It's not too bad, everything just shakes around a lot (obviously), but most of the time I'm in bed when it happens. I stayed in bed for the duration of the 7.1 earthquake too lulz.

I went from mid twenties NZD to 40 AUS when I moved to Melbourne for 4 months, earned enough to last a 3 month holiday in South East Asia.

In Melbourne the accent isn't bad at all. Thats outback Australia, perhaps the worst sound to ever be heard comes from that way.

With Melbourne we (no negs please) actually sound similar it's only some words that the accent reveals itself.
