Chevy was good from 80' to 85'.... peaked with "Spies Like Us" then subsequent bombing starting with "Three Amigos"

I couldnt stand three amigos mainly because of martin short....I just didnt care for him back then acting wise.

I saw The Purge a while back...thought it a sorta clever ripoff of the 'Festival' scene in Return of the Archons episode in the original Star Trek TV show. The second movie was a little better...not much, though. Not worth even picking either of 'em up on discount day.

I watched "The possession of micheal king" and i thought it was pretty good. Check it out if that type of movie is your thing.

---Thanks for the vote of confidence. Zatoichi is a very offbeat take on the original TV series with Katsu Shintaro. Full of action, comedy, and a superb musical score, it offers a look at what is real and what isn't. A very nice and rather sentimental (in parts) ending.

In case anyone may be remotely interested Zatoichi is now on Netflix in the 'Action & Adventure' category.
I fully realize one does have to be in the right mood for this type of (foreign) film but I enjoyed it. (especially the end choreography/music)

Watched Moneyball last night. It gives a behind the scenes look at baseball. The movie has a realistic feel to it. Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill are impressive.

Interstellar was good...but the sound put me off. Maybe it was the speakers...don't know. The acting was quite good, as was the story. Worth it.

I read that same comment from others on a guitar forum that I participate in so there is a consensus with that issue.
I don't like McConaughey so that's a strike 1 for me.
If it's remotely like Gravity it goes on my shvt list.

But, I'll likely give it chance when it lands in the Netflix bucket.

duno if its had a mention yet but watched "the babadook" the other day and thats definitely worth a watch, they kinda flunked the end imo but its a good film none the less

on a lower brow note "zombeavers" is hilarious, kind of like a poverty shaun of the dead, worth seeing if your stuck for things to watch and have no qualms with obtaining films at 'minimal' cost....

Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels are back in action. Saw the original again last night. I enjoyed that movie. May never see the new one. Hate to have the first one ruined by a new, and probably less funny one.

Certainly many didn't like the first one. I enjoyed it. I don't mind cheap laughs.

I have no idea how anyone could possibly like interstellar, worst movie I have ever seen. In fact it beat my worst all time movie Blair Witch and I thought that would be impossible!! Both my wife and had to fight not to fall asleep.

No amount of gravity will salvage the time lost watching Interstellar the other night. Maybe the movie itself needed a wormhole to speed things up a bit. Watched it because of the high rating IMDB gave it - 9 out of 10...to be fair though I'd give it a 7.5.

Well....

Saturday night at home with the wifster and we checked out Captain America 2 Winter Soldier.
Turns out we'd both seen it already the wifster's idiot husband didn't recall it. (not the first time I might add)
I like the Marvell characters for the most part and we still enjoyed the second viewing.

Looking forward to viewing Guardians Of The Galaxy and Hercules.

Because of my interest in ancient history I'm sure I'll see 300 Rise Of The Empire when it hits Netflix.
I read/heard it's even more of a blood bath movie and concentrates on Themisticles and the naval battles.
So, it seems there's mixed reviews with this one.

We watched that movie in my Criminology class way back in the day because Penn played the perfect psychopath. He literally had all the text book symptoms including needing to do extreme things, the stunts in his truck, in order to feel a high.

Saw The Equalizer last night and really enjoyed it. Same director as in Training Day. Liked how it started slow as you get to know
Denzel's character a bit - a little like the calm before the storm. Simple story, but good acting keeps it interesting and you wonder who
this seemingly harmless and ordinary guy really is.

In the blink of an eye, and in a Sherlock Holmes like fashion, Denzel manages to analyze every detail about his opponents and their weak
spots before laying a satisfactory beating on them. The movie even had a "cool guys don't look at explosions" scene. 6.8/10

I can't believe I hadn't heard anything about Margin Call. What a great line up of actors, you can't go wrong with Kevin Spacey, Jeremy Irons, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany and more.. It felt realistic and I loved the tension throughout the movie.

Predestination

Strange movie - a bit of a romantic, time traveling, sci-fi thriller. Ethan Hawke was ok but Sarah Snook was great.
Can't be easy to play a role with such gender issues. A bit weird, even for me, and I did not quite follow everything
that happened at the end. But might be worth a watch since being so different from anything else. 6/10

Interstellar on imax had its flaws but the music/sounds/feel and entertainment value more then made up for it. Most fun at a movie since TDK.
