It's been called the best american car ever built, has cadillac comfort and interior, rwd and a 562bhp supercharged v8. The 4 door is the fastest sedan on the planet I believe, and the coupe is probably that much faster. It doesn't look as good, but I don't think its ugly persay, just not as sleek. And then I said that just as how I would buy the cars, i didn't outright say the ctsv is better, just that I would take it over an s5 or m3

If you read the thread, that post was in respect to the fact that the guy posted a mustang amongst those cars, which wasn't a fair comparison. When he posted the CTS-V I said that was a better comparison. Besides I already wrote a paragraph about why the OP should get an a5 on the first page.
Besides, its in the same bracket as the m3 and s5, which have also been mentioned in the thread.

note that those comparison numbers were with the rwd 335, the awd version costs an extra couple of grand more and might add a tenth of a second or so to the 0-60 due to more grip off the line.

and keep in mind that the S5's MSRP is $10,500 more than the 335.
my gti will kill both of those. but for this case.....get the audi. it's slower but get a apr stage1 chip and ull get +60hp and +100 torque, thiss will cut the difference

Strong reading. I'm talking in real-world terms (money). For example, a range rover is comparable as well.
The RS5 costs a good bit more than the M3 and the M3 is a mid-range coupe as well.
