FUUUUUUU
I have no excuse for this, and I don't want sympathy. Before you pull the "you're wasting your parent's money" card, I'm paying for my own tuition with loans.
I fukked around all semester, mainly because I was so used to BSing my way through highschool. I drank every night, smoked weed almost as often. Damn it was fun. By midterms I realized things weren't working out so well but I continued to fukk around like a dumbass. I would seriously check my exam schedule just to find out that I had an exam the day before and the prof wouldn't let me make it up. I finished the semester with a .615 GPA (strong idiot is strong).
I check my student portal page this morning and feces gets authentic. I knew I had fukked up, but it didn't set in until I realized I had a "Former Student" tab on that page where it used to say "Student".
FUUUU
I'm not hopeless, it just really opened my eyes to the real world. A swift kick in the ass. I have grade exclusions that I can use to pull my GPA up a little bit, it'll bring it up to a 1.25, however I need a 2.0 to get into any major. I'll have to submit an appeal and hope they let me in. If not then I have officially failed out of Texas A&M in one semester..
Any other miscers have troubles/stories like this of their first semester of college?

.615.... how the hell? I mean seriously OP, first semester how hard could it be haha? I could probably smoke and drink every night, never study, and still finish with atleast a 2.0.
Anyways though you dun goofed. You should just retake all your classes next semester. Texas A&M doesn't give you academic probation?
lol i ****ed up freshman year too but me ****ing up meant a cumulative 3.00 gpa.

Yeah I failed pretty much everything. I could give an excuse for each class and try to justify it, but it's just a waste of time.
I'm going to retake a few of them, completely avoid a couple, and take an easy class here or there to help with my GPA. If, and I sincerely mean if, I get back into A&M next semester I will be on academic probation until my cumulative GPA is a 2.0. As far as I understand I have one semester to do it in too, so next semester I need ~3.0 to clean up all this bullshiit.US Army Infantry

This could damn well be the best thing to happen to me, however if I get back in it won't be a waste of my time and money.
I'm not getting a fukking geology degree. You get as much out of college as you put in. Slide by with a 2.0 in a geology degree and I'd end up a fukking geology teacher. Bust ass and get a solid engineering or business degree, intern, and it's not a waste of time.US Army Infantry

My grades were bad enough to fail out of my major (Economics) and not high enough to get into any major the school offers. I can appeal and pretty much interview to get back into a major, but if that doesn't go through I can't study at that university without a major.
Which would mean community college for me.US Army Infantry

I'm pretty much scared straight right now. If I get back in I'll definitely have an academics first mind set. It's not so much the thought of my profs thinking I'm an idiot that motivates me, but when my friends talk about how bad their semester was when they made a 2.8, it's just embarrassing as hell.
Seriously. A .615.
Who the fukk. Makes a fukking. .615.
That's just pathetic, and if I don't get back in next semester I really don't deserve to be there anyways.US Army Infantry
