I usually just use softgels since they are convenient.

The main thing to look for is high EPA/DHA content; and obviously a reputable manufacturer.

I use dirt cheap generic fish oil, I just aim to get 1 gram total of epa/dha a day.

Does C.L. disclose what type of fish is used in their omegas? Are your omegas-3 from cod, salmon, sardines, anchovies? What makes your omega-3 better than a Nordic Natural, Barleans, or Carlsons? Explain how C.L.'s product is better and I'll give it a try.

yes, anchovy, sardines and mackerel

more importantly we have put up 3rd party testing for heavy metals and pcbs in the company promo section so you know the quality is good. the dha/epa potency levels are also very high, so its a win-win

sounds like you may not be getting enough omega 3, you should probably go for another 500-1000mg of dha/epa

Get gel caps. I assume liquid is fine as well but in case you spill some of it, the area will smell like a fish market for a month.

I just checked.....I consume more than I led everybody to believe. Each 2 caps I use contain 600mg of EPA/DHA a day, I consume 9-12 every day so at minimum I'm consuming 2.4 grams EPA/DHA from fish oil alone.

Also on top of the Avocados I buy Natural Omega 3 chicken eggs and eat at least 4-6 whole eggs daily.

You think that's good enough for me? That should be 3.5-4 grams epa/dha minimum a day no problem.

For an Omega-3 supplement (liquid or capsules), Nordic Naturals and Carlson's are among the best.

For an Omega 3-6-9 supplement that also has CLA, Universal's Animal Omega is awesome.

The choice between taking an Omega-3 or an Omega 3-6-9 is up to the individual. Most Westerners get plenty of Omegas 6 and 9; it is usually only the Omega 3s which are lacking. However, some folks may (for whatever reason) follow a low-fat diet, and thus be lacking in all of the "good fats". In that case, a 3-6-9 supplement would probably be more beneficial.
