I probably won't try and max out for another 5 months. And when I do it'll be over 600. I think I've maxed out more times in the past 6 months than I have in the past 2 years lol.

Bummer on missing the 600 but getting that off the ground without breaking form was a huge lift
And awesome lifting with the 405 x 15 after putting everything into the 600
Hugely impressive!
Thanks! I could have gone for 585 and got it on camera but 525 felt good so I thought, why not.
After failing 600 there was no way in hell I had the energy to try 585 lol

Yeah yeah. I wanted my grip 100% even with straps since I was trying for another 25 lb PR, that'd suck so much if I had the power but grip fell.
Did some static holds after the 405 set though, it's catching up.
Get that 565!

Forgot to post but I did do some bench/tricep work after the deads but it's all pretty light.

Haha thanks Tom, I remember when I first tried to rep out 405 FRESH and I got like 8 (months and months ago) and now I doubled that while pulling 525 and failing 600 lol.
Oh well, I'll get it in a few months. Off the floor is my strength now it seems, gotta hammer some ridiculously heavy rack pulls to get my body used to 1) holding that much weight and 2) locking out that much weight lol
Gonna hammer grip work as well. Next time I max out I'll still use straps, but up until that point I'm going to try and go strapless as much as humanly possible.

The biggest difference between straps and no straps, is you actually have to concentrate on your grip. When I went from straps -> no straps, I could barely pull 450. But I got into the habit of thinking to myself "Grip this as hard as you can." Once you get that mentality, it just comes naturally after a tad.
Just concentrate on that grip. I did a lot of farmers carries, just grab the heaviest dumbbells and walk around with them. You'll get weird looks, but if you want swole time grip like me, gotta do that ****.
Also, how heavy do you go on rack pulls? I would do my max + 100 lbs for 3-5, loud as ****, but got that grip and lockout super nice.

Yeah I might go in and squat/do grip work today.
I went from straps -> no straps last two weeks and still did 510x2.
I imagine once you get your grip up so much to a level beyond your max DL it gets easier to focus on just the lift? ****ing people pulling 900+ and holding the weight at lock out blow my mind. Dat grip strength.

Yeah, you just need to focus on gripping it for a little when you make the switch to no straps. After a few weeks though, you just do it. When I pull now I don't really need to think about gripping it at all, I just pull it.
When I was rack pulling 635x3, grip was never an issue. Plus I do forearm isolation exercises out the *******, like 2-3 days a week I crush forearms, haha.

My lower back and glutes were dead going into this. I'm standing here right now trying to lean against hard edges and work out knots in my glute/piriformis.

Will you keep the Ed coans for bench, right? So you are working out 5 days?
I was looking into CMS-MS Prep 1 and it is insane...in for this
Yeah. Monday will be sheiko and chins. Wednesday is sheiko and heavy bench. Friday is sheiko and chins. Sat is light bench, light shoulders and biceps.
Grip work most likely on wed and sat.

I hit my glute/piriformis/hip or something on an edge today and thought I was going to collapse lol, brb foam rolling.
