    18 week Half-Marathon Training Plan?

I'm hoping (fingers crossed!) that I will be able to run the Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville on April 30th. I've been running for a week now so I'm already ahead of the game on this plan, but they offer these 18 week running plans for $25 a piece.

You think it would be a good idea to buy this? Honestly, if I can finish in less than 4 hours I'd be happy. My goal is 3 hours or so for my first time around and maybe kick it down to 2:45 or 2:30 for another half-marathon I plan on doing in October.

Is it worth the $25 or are there any better free ones out there that you would recommend?

I've never used a training peaks plan, but I know people that have and they seem to think they are OK.

I dont know what your fitness is like but 3 hours is preaty slow for a half mara, aim for at least 2:30.

Consistancy is key as is just building up the milage slowly, which is what these plans are great for.

    Good luck

Check out Hal Higdon's website before you purchase a trainingpeaks plan. Lots of good info available for free if you're creative enough to do the detail work yourself. Hal also has stuff on trainingpeaks but I'd read up before you buy.
    Good luck with your half!
