    Cannot physically do squats

I dont think i actually have the ability to perform a squat with proper form yet.

I cannot squat belowe parralell, no matter the weight, without my ass being pulled down and my very lower back rounding. This gives me lower back pain in certain areas of my lower back. It is not me bending forwards, the bar goes straight up and down as it should, my glutes are being pulled in.

I think it is because my hamstrings are too tight and pull my glutes with them when they are fully stretched.

    Anybody else experience this?

I'm trying to establish an effective way to loosen my hammies, suggestions?

Work on flexibility. Hamstring, hips, groin region, hip flexors.

Stretch seems like the obvious fix don't you think? So what chazzy said

just do what range you can for now and you'll progress with time. a light set of romanian deadlifts are a great way to stretch the hams.

good advice here, also remember not to try to loosen up too fast, dont force your stretches. It may take a week to gain the flexibility or it may take a month or two, but just take your time.

Touch your toes everyday. Try to do it 2-3 times a day and you'll be able to squat. Also look at some hip/pelvic stretches.
