Plus, if your job sucks then 1 year in solitary would look like a disneyland option.

He said it pretty much completely fuked him up. When he got out after the week, he was threatened with another week and said he was either going to kill himself or all the guards because he wasn't going back in there.

This scenario is absurd. It's some David Blaine type endurance sh!t that NONE of you could actually get through.

this would probably be a cakewalk for me, id do it for 500k probably. Establish a routine and time flys (no matter how simple your routine is)

bodyweight exercises, sleeping, eating, wacking off etc would fill your days. I can easily sleep 13 hours a day without doing anything (srs)

About 1/80th of your entire life.

And one year of your life at your prime (~20) is not even close to being equal to one year when you're 70. So it's probably more like 5 years.

I'd rather be renting a room somewhere and working at Taco Bell. At least i get to experience life, and to me that's priceless, especially since i don't have a desire to be rich anyway.



But you're out there experiencing the world, when you leave the army you'll take lots of what you learned with you for the rest of your life, even if it's just memories, or stories you can tell your grand kids someday.

Staying in a room for a year just mentally regresses you and wastes life. And for what? Money that 9/10 people won't manage responsibly and blow on drugs, cars, and partying in 3-4 years? Meh.

this part is definitely true. 1 mil isn't that much if spent improperly. It can be A LOT if spent properly, I would likely dump half of it into various real estate such as apartment complexes, and maybe buy a franchise with the last half.
