    Seemingly losing muscle?

I don't know if its just in my head cause i'm super self concious about this stuff and worry a lot, i'm currently trying to cut, eating at a 2000-2100 calorie a day diet. Which is about a 500 deficit from my maintance(maintance according to calculations is 2567.) My goal is to cut down from 18% bodyfat to anywhere between 12%-16% by the end of the month...I know that is a weird sounding goal but basically its 16% is my main goal...but anywhere lower than that would be welcome as well haha.

So far i've been noticing that i'm getting a bit leaner, i've lost a few pant sizes(went down from a 33 to a 31 in my jeans within the last 2 months). My arms look a little bigger/leaner most of the time(i'll explain this in a second), my back looks leaner, but my chest worries me. When I workout it looks big after, biggest it ever has. My lifts also keep going up(I have gone from a 1401rm to 2001rm in the last 3 months). However I really feel like my chest(and sometimes even my arms depending on the day and legs even), look smaller and less muscular. Yet when I work them out they always look significantly bigger than the last time. Its just during other times that I sometimes feel they look smaller/less muscular.

Is this due to the diet? Or am I just worrying too much or being too hard on myself?

I kinda figured worrying/too hard on myself, but I also figured i'd ask some more experienced people just to make sure.

My macros are also about 50% protein, 30% fat and 20% carbs right now.

If your lifts are going up, your muscle is just fine. You likely look skinnier due to fat loss. Most beginners who are cutting have a lot less muscle than they think they do to begin with.

Would you say it would be beneficial to clean bulk then? Or continue to my goal for the body fat?

My plan is basically to get as lean as I can by the end of the month before I go for a wrestling tryout(its January 29th). Then upon returning from that clean bulk and see where I can get with that.

    Thanks by the way.
