After all my countless jibber jabber to him, he refuses to accept that carbs before bed will not convert into fat. Even though he could not refute one single thing I said!
SO, could yall just kinda come in here and tell him that hes wrong=)?
(yes I know the exception to the rule of excess cals, but regardless he doesnt accept anything I say)
thanks guys and reps included!

Dear Friend;
Your wrong
Just leave it be man. Let him think what he wants. The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and hear all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds. ~Henry Rollins

What determines whether you'll get fatter or leaner is fat synthesis minus fat oxidation. Those are the 2 sides to the equation, and it is determined by calories in vs. calories out.
You're burning fat all day. If your late night carbs put you over your caloric maintenance, you'll gain weight. If they don't, then you've burned more over the course of the day than will get stored overnight...so you won't get any fatter.

This is a beauty response. Your friend is sort of correct, if you eat a ton of carbs or any other macronutrient before bed, there is a good chance that it will turn into fat. But if he is at a caloric deficit at the end of the day he would have been burning fat all day and the bit of fat that he gains during sleep will not matter because at the end of the day he will have a net loss of fat.
So yes he is correct that those "carbs" will likely turn to fat but if he is still at a caloric deficit he will continue to become leaner.

no u!
well obv, and I told him that along with other similair things in terms of the at. of cals but even then he believes that even just 1 carb before bed will be converted to fat lol
this argument happened this afternoon and he didnt have 1 single rebuttal to my logic, so I told him he can gather his "information" up and provide it for me tonight and he couldnt do it so he just says hes right lol..Instagram: hyruliangoat_

lol guys so he said he would provide an argument for me and this was his "argument" he had all day to prove me wrong but this is all he could provide here is our convo. Despite the fact that I went into a lot of detail from a biochem perspective, he still refused to believe it even with studys logic etc.
his response
MY RESPONSE
"4,5,6 meals a day"/ "small meals" false, myth. dont make me disprove that 2. There is only 1 benefit to that.
lol at no carbs
he needs to learn the basics of BMR, he is WAY off.
lol at not knowing that aminos illucit a similair insulin response as carbs
the funny thing is i know u didnt watch this video because he said nothing as to why to not eat carbs before bed. you just went by the title. you have failed miserably to prove me wrong, this has been ur best attempt, I gave you all day to create your argument. It should have taken you 5 minutes but you couldnt even do that. you, the person with barely any lifting experience, barely any knowledge on general health and fitness, are gonna tell me the person who lives and breathes it whats right and whats wrong? go tell michael jordan how to shoot a basketball and he'll laugh in ur face. go ahead and go your own way for a month heck ill even give you as long as you need, keep up your little bro science bs, keep a mediocre figure as the rest of the bro scientists who refuse to accept truth when its right in front of them. theres a difference between natural stubborness and plain stupidity, and you are displaying straight stupidity. you have gone way off the deep end with this and have way to much pride to accept that ur wrong. my challenge still stands to you, provide to me an argument you have all the time you need.
you know nothing about basic nutrition, metabolism, etc plsgo
HIS RESPONSE (lol)
ur response beats around the bush and is too long... lost interest in the first sentence....
anywys, im gonna reiterate my views in a concise manner. Eating carbs before bed does, in fact, produce body fat. Because of this, I choose not to e...at approximately two hours prior to hitting the bed. Also, regarding the fact that I am pursuing a lean muscle mass, I choose to do cardio workouts (treadmill, bike, etc.), weight lifting, along with healthy eating/snacking (lean proteins, no fried foods, vegetables, nuts and seeds, etc.). By doing so, I will be able to achieve my goals of a lean body muscle mass.
he has been following this "technique" for a bout a year and a half and he looks terrible lol..Instagram: hyruliangoat_
