Shoulder injury results, Physio or Chiro?

Got my ultrasound result 2 months ago, and still debating whether to go to a Physio or Chiro?

    My results says:
    1. No obvious muscle tear identified around the scapula.
    2. Mild supraspinatus tendinosis. No obvious rotator cuff tear identified.
    3. Mild subacromial bursitis with impingement. Ultrasound guided steroid injection may be useful if clinically indicated.

Let me know which one i should go for, my GP says go to a Physio but I just want to know what you guys think.

And would my result cause tingling/numbness on the scapula, stiff neck and mild headaches?

    Thanks in advance!
    Just want to be different.

I'd tend to recommend physio over chiro, as physios typically attack the issue from more than one angle, and attack both cause and symptoms, whereas chiros mostly just want to crack your vertebrae.

Go to a physio. A chiro specializes in spinal therapy and will be very little help with a shoulder problem. Remember that most are not doctors. I've done business with 500+ chiro's and only one actually went to med school.

I'd go to a Physio. If you go to a a Chiro, he or she will treat you until you run out of money or your insurance company declines further treatment. When the money for further treatment runs out, the Chiro will then proclaim you cured. It's like voodoo medicine,

lots of chiro bashing in here. although i do agree that a physio would be best for delt issues, chiros do have their place. when i injured my lower back my chiro made all the difference in the world between me crawling on all four and walking up right.

It definitely depends on the Chiro. Most just go through the motions. I had major tendonitis in my corocobracialis after a lifting injury and my chiro worked directly on the muscle plus heat, ultrasound, etc. The guy I went to was listed with the county as a specialist in sports injuries. Do your homework and find the right chiro.

Thanks, now definately going to physio. Hopefully don't take too long with the rehab. I've been out for 9 months, almost losing motivation. But thanks again!
