Thanks

no but on a side note i went to jail in lake city this past week. female state trooper lasered me (2nd time ive ever seen laser) at 91 and i spent 3 hours in jail with the good ole boys (who were nice, didnt go in a cell once) until my girl bailed me out. ill be back down on the 4th for court.
cop was a bitch approaching the car and it was impressive watching her display her dominance but once she saw we werent a threat and sucked up a bit she changed her tune and gave me several breaks on the charges.
i wouldnt carry anything boigger than a pocket 380 on my ankle personally unless i was on duty with a g26 with a 17 or 19 for primary.
dont think a j frame or 9 would be comfortable for daily wear

I've carried a snub in one of these from time to time and found it okay.

Definitely wouldn't wear an ankle holster anytime I knew I was going to be anywhere that kicked up a lot of dust though, in my opinion there strictly for nice dressed occasions.
As someone once told me, if you're going to use an ankle holster as a primary carry method then figure something else out. LOL

I consider an ankle holster as something you would use for some kind of deep cover last resort SHTF type of thing but not practical for real-life concealed carry people.
As someone who doesn't expect to be in some kind of deep cover last resort SHTF situation I would rather spend my time making sure I can move the two guns that I keep close to my waist out and going bang in a short period of time. (LOGIC) Hand close to gun means short delivery time in my book. And yes, Clint Eastwood looked real cool with a gun slung low,(Low means slow) on his hip but Jerry Miculek would have been able to cap him multiple times before he ever got to his gun. HINT..Jerry Miculek does not carry his gun on his foot.
Basically, I don't want to be reaching down to my ankle and dealing with all the BS that comes from drawing a gun from a holster attached to my foot.
On the other hand, if I were a knuckle dragging chimpanzee or orangutan it might be a good move but until I am reincarnated into a lower primate I will keep my bang-stick/s above the waist.
Just my two bananas worth.

For all above, I didn't mean an ankle holster for primary carry, just as a location for backup.
Yeah, it's a hassle to get to it, but it's for backup and I've actually found that I could pull from an ankle holster better than a pocket carry .380. Not that I wear tight clothes, but there's a delay in reaching with my left or right hand into my pocket, pulling a pistol from a holster there and getting back on target.
When I practice holster draw it's easy. While moving to a kneeling with right knee position grasp your left pant leg and pull as you go down, unholster and draw while kneeling. With a little practice you'll see it's not too bad.
Not to mention having your hand stuck in your pocket trying to quick draw a pocket pistol is rough for me not to mention it makes me a little vulnerable at times.
The next best thing to IWB holster is the SOB holster which I can draw quick, but that getting a little bulky in the waist area hence why I am trying the ankle holster for backup location.
