    Evaporated cane sugar

I'm bulking at the moment, but would still like to keep fat gain to a minimum.
I have this salsa with some fruit in it and a small amount of evaporated cane sugar. The nutrition facts say 1g of sugar per ounce, but I assume most of that is fructose (from the fruit) and a small amount of that is from the cane sugar.

I like to put maybe an ounce at a time on my chicken or meats which I eat regularly through out the day. My question is will this cause an insulin spike or not? Or is this nothing to worry about.

    Thanks
    This stuff tastes really good...

Unless you're diabetic, worrying about insulin spikes is a waste of your time. It's fine.

    Don't worry about it.

Protein raises insulin levels as well. There's nothing wrong with that. The protein in the chicken will have a much greater impact on raising insulin levels than the little bit of sugar. Insulin is not evil.

So a little bit of ketchup on a chicken sandwich is fine as well?
