Each evening I go to bed with doubt by my side and each morning I wake with doubt to greet me. It ain’t easy to live with that sh*t, but it is a part of the uncommon life. There are no promises or guarantees, only an untold future with no regard for your desire for comfort or security.

Lol'ing IRL about people saying too small for D-line. Just work on speed, agility, and strength, alot of explosive training.

Age and size dont mean anything in football they dont care about that.
I had 45+ tackles three sacks two forced fumbles a few blocked punts a few blocked feild goals and extra points and when i was not the faster guy off the ball I got double teamed every play. I ran a 4.79 40 had a 44 dot drill and 4.45 por agilty 27 inche verticle. 275 bench 345 ( all my back could handle) squat and 195 powerclean we dont test dead lift on the team.
I finished the season at 5'4.5" 143 pounds.... Nobody is to small for the D-line it is based on statsEach evening I go to bed with doubt by my side and each morning I wake with doubt to greet me. Nice man. We had a guy on our team that was probably that size. First year ever playing football.. probably didn't even know how to play, and he was actually very good. Not quite as good as that, but he exceeded everyone's expectations.
I played safety at 5'4 125.. I was actually decent, but if I could have played in this body.. fuuu_=Unites States Air Force=_

Summer is the easy part for me because I am either sitting at home, in the gym, or standing there at work and when you work for your mom, nobody really yells at you if you take three-four breaks.
You should consider putting more carbs and fat in while you condition.
Something else I should add to my stats is I missed three games this season and never played d-line before

i was a linemen in high school to and what you need to do is do a very clean bulk in off season then a clean bulk as you get closer to in season. then a regular bulk during season, but dont get to dirty.
did you get all that?
and keep taking supps in season. football practice is a workout20kg=44lbs, 30kg=66lbs, 40kg=88lbs, 50kg=110lbs, 60kg=132lbs, 70kg=154lbs, 80kg=176lbs, 90kg=198lbs, 100kg=220, 110kg=242lbs, 120=264lbs, 130kg=286lbs

I played linebacker/d end in high school at 5'11, 220 pounds.
Don't worry about bulking or cutting if sports is your main focus..focus on the sport. Work out and keep trying to get stronger, faster, and more explosive. Focus on your technique and execution. Don't worry about your biceps and abs, worry about how you're gonna knock any middle linebacker on his tail if he tries to come up in the hole.I was once told it would be 2 years before I could even think about walking again.
That was 6 months ago.
I ran a mile today.
I plan to run 2 tomorrow.

If you play Defensive end..Cut then bulk would be a decent idea(Id still want to be around 200-240 for a DE in HS)...205-225 would be good for you,as that is just about ideal for a HS FB/DE. Also...you wont lose much speed at 205-225 if youre already pretty fast IMO.
I played O & D line(Guard, DT, & DE) for about 7 years(Played football ever since i could run), and when i started working out(First year of middle school) I ALWAYS bulked. I worked fat off by running...But i was always at Maintain weight calories, with high protein and a relatively balanced diet so I could gain muscle and lose a fair bit of fat.
But yeah...I would probably Bulk THEN cut...Because it will be easier for you to cut in the pre-season anyway...It was certainly was easier for me to cut during summer practices.

Don't take my word becuase its only my second season playing football, but I'm doing the same. Although I'm faster than most of the lineman, my extra bodyfat won't do me any good so I'm cutting now, and bulk once I get a lot leaner, around 180-185. If your already at a low enough bodyfat, by all means you should bulk. But If you are at a very high bodyfat, I wouldn't keep bulking.
Current/By July(Beginning of summer) - Bench to chest, squat parallel, deadlift no belt or straps.
Bench: 215/250
Squat: ???/315
Deadlift: 390/450

I played quarterback in Ohio division 1 at 5'11 191, didnt have a strong bench, but had the highest hang clean on the team at 315. was in the top 10 40 yard dash at 4.6, and top 5 pro agility at 4.06.
On any given Friday night, none of your lifts, times, or vital stats mean a thing. Anything can happen, that is why you focus on your technique, athleticism, and your playbook.
Keep lifting to get stronger, and keep doing plyos to get faster and more explosive, but realize that the most important part is how well you know the game, how good your technique is, and above all, how badly you want to win.19 year old personal trainer... not too bad of a lifestyle.
