As far as I know, there are about 10 brands that have creapure. I would not buy one that does not say creapure. As for the HP stuff that is recommended, perhaps people are confused by the wording used, but "Ingredients: Pure Creatine Monohydrate Powder" is not the same as "creapure."
All of the following are micronized creapure: Life Extension, Ultimate Nutrition, Optimum Nutrition, Biotest, SportPharma, ProLab, NSI (Nutraceutical Sciences Institute), Universal Nutrition, AllMax.

Creapure is the premium brand for creatine worldwide. If it doesn't say "creapure" then it is a monohydrate of lower quality. It comes down to impurities.
micronized just means it is finer particles so it dissolves faster. Plenty of lower quality creatines will just be micronized, but that doesn't change the fact that they will contain more impurities.

Think of it like saltwater. If you add salt to regular municipal tap water it will be salty. If you add salt to water that has been run through a reverse osmosis filtration, it too will be salty. Now if you use the first salt water for a saltwater aquarium, the fish will probably die from the impurities (such as chlorine).
While you will not die from impure creatine mono, and you probably will not notice any less strength, chances are that you will be wasting some money, may need to use a tad more, and may suffer from stomach discomfort, and possibly other maladies due to these impurities.
Listen, almost every supplement company carries creatine mono. The market is flooded, so the price is pretty cheap. Why would you pay the same (sometimes more/sometimes less) for regular creatine mono when you can get creapure?
Sorry to the reps who work for a company that doesn't use creapure. you will have an uphill battle against an educated consumer because no matter how you claim it is "pure" you are fooling only the ignorant.
Anyone who is inclined to buy a creatine that does NOT say "creapure," please first request that the supplement company provide you with the most recent HPLC test results and pay particular attention to the levels of Dicyandiamide, Creatinine, Dyhydrotriazine, and sodium.
If you don't know why, spend 5 minutes and read this article:

I think it is safe to assume that if the product does not clearly announce it is using "creapure" then the mono is not creapure. It is the gold standard for monohydrate and anyone using creapure brags that they are using it.
Notice that the reps are quiet when their products do not say creapure? They will throw around words like "pure" and "micronized" which sound good, but you can buy micronized creapure from 9 solid sources, so why anyone would buy any creatine mono that is not micronized creapure is beyond me.
Of course, there are other "designer" types of creatine that are not just creatine mono, and the reps will tout the benefits/claims that set them apart from mono...but I have yet to see any study that demonstrates any designer creatine is superior to creapure mono.
