    smith machine - bench press

    hi guys,

i don't know if this is a normal thing but whenever i reach like my 8th or 9th rep (close to finishing the set), i feel like my clavicle gets involved in the exercise, where as before that 8th rep, i am usually feeling the burn around my lower chest plates...i was just wondering if anyone else have experienced this or if it's normal?

    Thanks

    Your question doesn't make sense.
Bodybuilding is 60% training and 50% diet. Yes that adds up to 110%, because that's what you should be giving it. Change the inside, and the physique will follow.

Use dumbells if you're too scared to use free weight BB. Smith machines are useless

Use a barbell or dumbbells... the smith machine does all the work for you

Really try to avoid using the smith machine for benching. I used it for my first 6 months got minimal gains but lots of shoulder problems. Its just useless for benching, use dumbbells instead

Agree 100% with all the above. Smith machine brought back shoulder issues after not using it for a while. Stick to free weights and lower weight if need be.
