From the January issue of Iron Man, Robby Robinson at age 64. It's a good read if you get a chance to catch it on the newstand.

ROFLMAO - Silly! Dear, Darling, Dreadful, Disgusting, Dastardly, Disgraceful, whatever fits at the time, Husband.
That's like the last time we went through a ride check, he told the cop he was the DH (instead of the DD) and the cop thought it was pretty funny.Krete77's Weight Loss Competition April - July

That's good stuff, David, and not just a bunch of overly positive rhetoric. Guys like Robby Robinson, Dave Gooden, Ed Cook, and others, who are out there living it and setting the example are the reason that I am not even hesitating to prepare to step on stage for my 50th birthday. I will just be getting that party started!

if you read enough about him, Robbie does have some bitterness about the past...
he feels that being Black hurt his career in some ways....and I don't doubt that it did back then a little....
it starts off with the labels: why call him "The Black Prince"? can't he just have been Robbie Robinson, alone?
it was like in more recent years where they called Badell the "Freakin' Rican"...unnecessary, in my humble opinion....
What if they called Jay "Caucasian Cutler" or something to that effect?
the ethnic labeling is a bad start, I believe.....
Robbie remains an inspiration...

"BITTERNESS"!? HELL! IT CAME THROUGH DURING INTERVIEWS AND IN ARTICLES!
He was screwed "back in the day" and everyone knew what was going on.
Get in your "wayback machine", that's if you have one available, I keep one in my garage! lol
Racism in bodybuilding. What is pitiful about racism is that it even permeates the very air that we breathe.Last edited by Taichichuan; 12-19-2010 at 05:30 AM.

Wasn't Arnold called the Austrian Oak or somthing like that?
Labels (nicknames) are a way to promote someone.
Promotion and the use of the moniker did not kill his career.
My opinion was that it seems that he was teying to slam everyone even Arnold, who if I read correctly asked him to stick around and be in Pumping Iron. Of course Robby went on the tangent that he never got paid (along with everyone else).
Move On.
Take legal action if you must but build off the path you have traveled.
As for his shape right now he looks great and he was always a fav. of mine.
I look to try and be in better shape when I get to be his age

White, Black, Pink or purple, Who cares! That guy is ripped and especially for his age. Which BTW is what I thought this thread was about.

David this is a fantastic thread!!! He still looks truly amazing and is an inspiration to many people. I mean look at his body it still looks like that of a much younger man!!!!
He just proves again that age is only a number, and with hard work, dedication and clean living you can look good and feel good!!!!!
