Not really. There has been a bunch of research on Chondroitin.
Not that there's anything wrong with anecdotal evidence. If we went solely on science in regards to bodybuilding and supplements, we'd all be using a bunch of hmb and glutamine as our main supplements, and I can't tell you how many scientific studies showed that steroids didn't work.

I'm not talking about chondroitin sulfate.
I was referring to shark cartilage. Specifically, the variety the OP is referring to (since he mentioned his is already supplementing with glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM) that has been marketed under various names Carticin, Cartilade, and BeneFin.
You know, the stuff Lane Labs was sued for marketing as a form of cancer treatment, among other things?

thanks
for the feed back guys... but since ive been reading up on this for a month now and i have been training for over 2 decades and supplementing for along time also i feel i have some knowledge myself... its to closed minded of anyone to simply say it does "nothing at all" and then have to tell me you never really researched it or most importantly never used it....thanks though for putting some time into posting. a couple of yall are really young so i would expect this to be something of importance to you yet... unless youve had cartiliage damage or problems..... again thank you for all your input

Well that's not exactly true there was one published in the American journal of medicine during the 60's. The participants took steroids over a period of 6 weeks and had no gains...they also didn't exercise at all lol. But that's the only one I've ever read. I agree we can't always just rely on science. However logically why would essentially eating powdered shark meat help your joints as opposed to any other animal.

I don't really see how that proves your point the study was done almost 50 years ago. What it proved was that you actually have to workout to make gains on steroids. Again What is the it about powdered shark meat which helps joints. Why would it help me as compared to eating a steak. You havn't even presented a theory yet on why you think it works whether your own or somebody elses. No one is denying the use of anecdotal evidence. But think about it logically can you name another substance which nobody has any explanation or thoughts as to why it works?
