Smile How long do it take to notice changes? "Build Muscle"

    Here's my story,

I'm 160lbs and 5'10'' and have 20% fat.......I started working out since Sept. 20th and continuing till now. But till now, I haven't noticed any changes on my body except lifting heavier weights than before. My diet is pretty good, I eat 4-5 meals a day, I eat egg whites, chicken, beef and etc...no oil (no fries)

So I was wondering how long will take to start notice changes? I know that everyone body's is different but normally how long will take? 6 months?

    Thanks for your time

When I started, I was gaining a few pounds a month, but I was skinny skinny skinny so it showed a lot. Are you gaining weight? Results are slow but you should be starting to see a small difference. You also may not feel like you look different, but others will be able to tell who havent seen you in a while.

I understand this. Um, look at old photos of yourself? Or go onto a serious 8-10 week cutting cycle (that guy who runs the GST thread knows how to cut!) and you will then see all those muscles you've built up underneath the fat. Then go back to bulking followed by cutting.
You're going into your 3rd month of weight training: I bet you can see results when you flex especially your triceps and biceps... Other stuff gets fat smothered, no definition ya know? But I would say after 3 months of dedicated lifting & eating correctly will result in visible results.

You said it man, everybody is different. So there's no real way to say when you're going to start seeing changes. But my experience was that you are probably right on the edge...I felt like I started to see changes at about the 90 day mark. But I'd also say that changes began to come somewhat slowly...don't give up man! It took me about a year to start to see big changes. Hope this helps.

How much bodyweight have you gained and how much have your lifts progressed?

Depends on how long you been lifting. For a beginner new to weights, the first 3-5 months are mainly neural. For someone not new, the first month or so is neural of a new routine then come the muscle gains. So don't keep switching up your routine.

I got newbie gains after 2 months, but I was deathly skinny before... and I got another "growth spurt" at about month 6 when I really started to eat a lot of carbs and protein. Like a LOT. I'm 22 lbs heavier than I was when I started last january, and I'm a helluva lot more muscular.
