Apparently there's gonna be a bunch of pool parties tomorrow for Memorial day. I heard about this place called "The Villiage" country club. It's an appartment complex off of I75 in Dallas. There's gonna be a bunch of parties over there. It's on a street called Southwest blvd or something, which is near Lovers lane I think.

Ya decent. My ATL chick was supposed to move here, but she broke up with me. Internship, school, parents, etc etc...so time for me to get a Texas honey.
I still get annoyed by people who say Texas is the south. It's the southWEST. I was in New Braunfels this weekend and I went to a restaurant that doesn't serve sweet tea Still like The Confederacy :PA hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

I honestly hate San Antonio. Last year summer was unbearable with temps in 100s for well over a month everyday and no rain. Cost of living is cheap here. Gas is around $3.29 for lowest. There's a lot of obese people in San Antonio, food is good though. During April they have Fiesta which is like a two week celebration with food vendors, parties, drinking and whatnot all over downtown.
It's decent when it comes to how clean it is here. I'd prefer to live in Austin if you're looking to meet generally nice people, but the cost of living there is a little bit higher.Every aspiring lad wants to be a bodybuilder, but by George, nobody wants to elevate these burdensome weights. They are but an insignificant groundnut!

Good weather, crazy sometimes but you get used to it. Cost of living is low compared to most places, it's clean, nice people for the most part. Not too aware of gun laws, I'm sure someone in here can answer that though.
And what the poster above said if you have the choice go with Austin. They are both good cities but Austin is just something else; beautiful women, tons of outdoorsy stuff(lakes, rivers, greenbelt, barton springs), music, food, 6th street and UT sportsGyno free since August 2011

Good:
-Cost of living
-Very friendly people. Some of the friendliest I've met.
-Jobs for everyone
Bad:
-High obesity rate
-Not a diverse city. I moved from Atlanta and it is a very diverse city. SA is like 60-70% Hispanic so it is a very homogeneous culture.
-To the new resident, it is hard to find things to do, especially if you're in the 20-35 age group.
-Weather but that is subjective.
-Very slow pace of living.
I'd prefer Austin but IDK too many hipsters there too, but it is a city and I'm more used to that than anything. I'm here for my job and I've found a good group of friends and people here. I still wish there was more things to do for younger people. You can find some things to do slightly north of San Antonio really.A hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

Do they go only on memorial day, or do they do it on other holidays too?
I went to the village on Monday and it was fun. I was at "the meadows" in the village and found a nice pool where I played volleyball with a bunch of people. After a while I drove around to some of the other places but couldn't find a nice big pool with as many people. I went to the country club and there was a huge pool party, but they had someone at the front checking id's so I just went home. Should I have stayed? Do they even care if you don't live in the village?Mind over matter ☮
