That's a badass quote, makes a lot of sense. I tend to vary my intensity based on my mood/the opponent/the setting. My advice would be to breathe. Relax and breathe... it's a game changer.

Burpee test last week, managed 70 in 5 minutes and 10 seconds, so my earlier goal seems pretty easy. The new goal is 100 proper burpees in 5 minutes.
I'm on my last 2 weeks of hard conditioning before another strength cycle. Rolled decent today. Didn't really give up position but I could've done better, ie commit harder to sweeps, attack more often. I also need to relax a little more when I'm in tight spots, but that zen mindset is super hard to cultivate and will probably be one of my hardest trials.
If all goes well with work, within the next few weeks I'll be training 10-12x per week. That means a bunch of 2 a days. It's gonna be rough.

Worked on mount escapes and guard passes. Drilling a leg drag to knee through.
Had a big weekend which I think contributed to me gassing in the first round of rolling, lol. Still managed to work my game and not get beat up too bad.
My instructor is good with them too. He gives up the pass to catch you with it.

Drilled escapes. Gassed really quickly again while rolling for some reason. That said, I did wrestle a really big guy then the best blue belt at our academy.
I was having a lot of success with the knee through pass, either side. I managed to clear the legs, avoid the sweep and get on top several times.
I wanted to take the back, but missed out when I had the opportunity.
Hoping my endurance comes back to me over the course of the week.

Still training, just lax on logging because I have been basically working on only one or two things. I wanted to dedicate this month to guard work for BJJ and MMA, and defense for Muay Thai.
Started my strength cycle recently too. 4 days strength work, 2 days road work.
I keep a pen and paper journal, but this log helps to jot down my thoughts and musings.
whats up. Just got my 1st stripe on my blue belt.

Was strapped for time. I wanna go in and squat tomorrow.
Not this week but the week after I'll be stepping up my training because I might be getting an ammy match.
Nothing's in stone but I'll be prepared either way.
