Y'all know what sucks/is a pain in the ass?
When someone calls 911, and I respond to the call and not a single person speaks a bit of English. I speak a little Spanish but it's been several years since I studied it so I've forgotten most of it. But it is very frustrating and I feel bad because of the language barrier. I know that they've called because they need help but there isn't much I can do when I can't understand them and they can't understand me. I usually call the language line to have a translator via phone but things get lost in translation and it's a pain passing a phone back in for when just trying to ask simple questions.1\*
